  2. Tree Selection: Work with your Neighborhood Tree Champion (Laurie Fields) to choose a suitable tree and location for your property.
  3. Participant agreement: Complete and submit this Participant Agreement Form. This form will include details about the property, tree selection, location, and your commitment to care for the tree (watering and mulching).
  4. Site Visit: After contacting Laurie, she will schedule a site visit to confirm the trees location and review paperwork.

What’s included:

  • The grant will cover the cost of a “balled and burlapped” 1.5 caliper tree

Notice to PNA Residents: Short-Term Rental Permit Application

Application for Short-Term Rental at 305 Lafayette Pwky

An application has been filed with the Urban County Government to establish an unhosted short term rental at 305 Lafayette Parkway.  The owner plans to live on the property, and rent it for short term stays whilst traveling for business, which may be as much as six months out of the year.  The Board of Adjustment will consider the application for a conditional use permit at its meeting on Monday, May 13 at 1:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 200 East Main.

Neighbors have expressed concern about short-term rentals, so PNA is sharing an advance notice about this application before it goes before the board for a vote.  If you have any comments to share, you can make your voice heard by writing to the Division of Planning and/or attending the Board of Adjustment meeting.  If you plan to attend the meeting, please let us know at picadomeneighborhood@gmail.com or call Lynne at 859-278-6342.

If you want to write to the Planning Division, please see an example letter form HERE.  The letter includes a potential list of concerns about increasing the quantity of short-term rentals in the neighborhood. These concerns are from prior residential submissions.  You can modify and personalize the draft however you wish.  Please be sure to include the subject line to help Planning staff identify the application you’re writing about and add your name and address.  Once complete, you can email your letter to planningmailbox@lexingtonky.gov
