We are excited to share an update on the Lex Grow Trees initiative. The first round, completed in November, was a success, with 15 high-quality shade trees planted in our neighborhood. Now we are preparing for the next round. With help from Friends of Wolf Run, have 10 FREE TREES available for property owners in our neighborhood!
Here’s how it works: Lex Grow Brochure
- Eligibility: you must be a property owner. Site must meet space, soil, and sunlight standards and free from overhead or underground utilities.
- Tree Selection: Work with your Neighborhood Tree Champion (Laurie Fields) to choose a suitable tree and location for your property.
- Participant agreement: Complete and submit this Participant Agreement Form. This form will include details about the property, tree selection, location, and your commitment to care for the tree (watering and mulching).
- Site Visit: After contacting Laurie, she will schedule a site visit to confirm the trees location and review paperwork.
What’s included:
- The grant will cover the cost of a “balled and burlapped” 1.5 caliper tree
- A professional contractor will deliver and plant the tree for you.

I am very interested in this program, but does the application form need to be printed to be filled out? I cannot get either of the forms to allow filling in online.
